Blundeston Junior Cricket Club

  Rules

  •    All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions and adopt and promote ' The Spirit of Cricket' as set out by the England and Wales Cricket Board.

  •   All members must treat with respect everyone associated with the club, its equipment, all officials, other clubs and their property.

  •  All members will be mindful of their role in ensuring the safety and welfare of others.

  •  Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions

  •  Members must wear suitable footwear and protective clothing  (i.e. helmet and cricket box when batting) for training and match sessions, as agreed with the coach/team manager.

  •   Members must wear the appropriate clothing for matches.  U10's Club T-shirt, White Cricket Trousers, White shoes. All Others: Cricket Whites.                        

  •  Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.

  •  Members are required to adhere to the law regarding smoking, alcohol and substance abuse.

  Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers

  •  Parents / Carers are responsible for transporting their children to and from matches and coaching.

  •  It is the responsibility of all parents/carers to ensure that members arrive   at the agreed time and are collected promptly at the conclusion of all sessions/matches.

  •  Parents / Carers must contact the appropriate coach / team manager if they are going to be late collecting their child.

  •  Parents / Carers must contact the team manager at the earliest opportunity if a selected team member is unavailable to play.

  •  It is the Parents / Carers responsibility to make every effort to attend club meetings. ( EGM's AGM's )

  •  Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them

  •  Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials

  •  Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results

  •  Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all.

  •  Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes

  •  Support your child's involvement and help them to enjoy their sport  

  • Use correct and proper language at all times
