Drive for Corporate Funds
NPS Chairman, David Gager, has made a puplic appeal for more funds in the Summer 2006 issue of the charity's newsletter.
He thanks supporters of the CRAG WALK heritage project for their generous donations and is now asking people to lobby their employers for contributions to corporate tax deductable schemes that are available for charity giving.
He says that this would enable some company profits to go to charity rather than to Gordon Brown! (read more...)

EBAY INTERNET AUCTION SUCCESS!
(Autumn 2005)
The item sold in our shop was an antique doll, a Gebruder Heubach Bisque pre-1920's piano baby, adding a cool £50 to the charity's cliff heritage project fund.
It really is amazing what can be found at the bottom of a humble black sack.
A very generous donation indeed -
and well spotted, too!

CHARITY SHOP GETS  FACELIFT
Volunteer shop managers Jan and Terry Dunning, verterans of six years with the society, have made changes to the charity's retail offer, which they hope will boost funds, especially during the seasonal influx of visitors. [SHOP SALES]
The shop's distinctive logo (see above) and proximity to Woolworths already make it an eye-catching local attraction for holidaymakers.
Now there is an "audio-visual centre" near the back of the sales area, built using shelving that has been given to the charity when other local shops have had refits. Despite the demise of vinyl records and the rise of the DVD, the shop does a brisk trade in LP's, video films and even old 45's.
The shop - which had a new vinyl flooring laid for the 2007 season - is currently the charity's main source of income and welcomes compact, saleable donations of all kinds through its doors - including cash!

NAZE NEWS Spring 2006: "Public support has been wonderful. We certainly want this support to continue and we really need your personal donation, however small."  David Gager, Chairman - The Naze Protection Society

This vanishing coastline needs  urgent beach replenishment from Harwich Channel dredging work - and sea defences to retain it!
The Naze Protection Society Shop at 18 Walton High Street took a grand total of £22,700 in 2004!
The cliff edge about to break away in 2001 - half an acre of land was subsequently lost in that year alone!
